Our applications are intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. They are not directed to children, we do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we serve no behavioural advertising to any user. Where a child’s personal data reaches us, we delete it as soon as we become aware.
1. Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years of age to use our applications, or older where local law prescribes a higher age of digital consent — which is 16 in several EU member states. Our applications are not directed to children and are not submitted to the App Store Kids Category or to Google Play’s Designed for Families programme.
2. What this means in practice
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from any person under the age of 13.
- We do not serve behavioural, personalised or contextual advertising in our applications, to users of any age.
- We do not construct user profiles, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes.
- Analytics we collect are aggregated and cannot be used to identify an individual user.
3. COPPA (United States)
The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act requires verifiable parental consent before an operator collects personal information from a child under 13. As our applications are not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect such information, no such collection occurs. Should we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.
4. United Kingdom and European Union
We have regard to the UK Age Appropriate Design Code (the Children’s Code) and to the additional protections the UK and EU GDPR afford to children. Our approach — data minimisation, no profiling, no nudge techniques, privacy-protective defaults and plain-language disclosures — is designed to be appropriate for any user who may reach our applications, regardless of age.
5. Guidance for parents and guardians
If you believe a child in your care has provided us with personal data, contact info@chatgptltd.site with “Child data” in the subject line and sufficient detail to identify the account. We will confirm receipt, delete the data and close any associated account, ordinarily within a few days and in all cases within 30 days.
You may also review and control purchases using Apple Family Sharing and Ask to Buy or Google Family Link, and restrict in-app purchases through the parental control settings on the device.
